Bury striker Glynn Hurst insists manager Alan Knill has instilled a winning mentality into his side following their climb away from danger.Knill left his post as Chesterfield assistant manager to take over from caretaker boss Chris Brass at Gigg Lane in February.
He has since gone on to guide the Shakers to League Two safety with six wins in their last eight games.
Hurst said: "Playing badly and still winning is good.
"It's a sign of very good character and another sign of the gaffer instilling that winning mentality into the lads.
"It's that winning attitude, and it comes from training and everything that we do."
