Grimsby striker Nathan Jarman has slammed referee Danny McDermid's decision to send him off in the 3-1 defeat to Rochdale last Saturday.Making his full league debut for the Mariners, Jarman was shown to yellow cards in quick succession before being dismissed after just 37 minutes.
With a suspension now looming, the 21-year-old is hoping he can earn his place back in the side.
"I hope to het another start. I'll have a suspension now, but I have just got to crack on again and, hopefully get some more pitch time," Jarman told the Grimsby Telegraph.
"For the first one, the defender went down when he had the ball. It was never a booking. The second one was a little late, but I just ran into him.
"I saw the referee running over and he had his hand in his pocket as soon as I had done it. I told him I thought the first one was a poor decision but he had already made his mind up so that was it."
