Dean Marney is hoping the recent break in fixtures can help his injured Hull team-mates make a sooner than expected return to action. The Tigers were without a game last weekend due to Barnsley's involvement in the FA Cup, handing Phil Brown's players some welcome respite.
Marney is now relishing Saturday's home clash with QPR as City bid to continue their push for promotion.
"Usually when you are winning games you just want them to keep coming," said Marney. "But we've got a few knocks in the squad, so the break does give us a bit of time to recharge our batteries.
"Hopefully this break will give everybody a chance to be fit for the QPR game."
