Morris keen to keep his place

Mon 07 Apr, 12:15 PM

Ian Morris insists Scunthorpe will go into their clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday in high spirits despite seeing their survival hopes hit.Morris gave the Iron the lead against Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend but they were held to a 1-1 draw following Ben Sahar's second-half strike.

That result left Scunthorpe eight points adrift of safety with just four games remaining, but Morris is trying to remain positive.

"In this league, anyone can beat anyone and that's the way it is," he told the club's official website. "The result took the shine off my goal and I'm devastated.

"Since my injury I've done alright to keep myself fit and I hope to stay in the team now."
