Murphy ready to crack the whip

Mon 07 Apr, 08:30 PM

Huddersfield caretaker manager Gerry Murphy insists he will make sure his players keep working hard in a bid to improve their league form. The Terriers twice let a lead slip as they drew 2-2 with 10-man Doncaster at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday.

However, the performance was much-improved on the 4-1 drubbing by Oldham the week before and Murphy believes that is down to putting in effort on the training ground.

"You have to look at things as you go along, but we'll keep working with them; we may need some more technical work," he told the club's official website.

"I would say that we'll have them in pretty much every afternoon. I'm a believer in naming your team as early as you can and I think that what you do during the week reflects in your performance on a Saturday.

"We'll keep working on our shape and set-pieces and some may find it a bit monotonous, but for me practice makes the player."
