Southend boss Steve Tilson has confirmed Lewis Hunt is unlikely to play again this season but Alex Revell is set to return against Brighton.Hunt has sustained a hernia injury and is expected to be ruled out for a month and the 25-year-old joins winger Damian Scannell (groin), Hal Robson-Kanu and Che Wilson (both Achilles) on the sidelines.
The latter is also unlikely to play again this term, but Tilson is boosted by the return to fitness of striker Revell who could feature against his former club.
Revell returned to the matchday squad in Saturday's 3-1 win at Crewe after overcoming a hernia injury, but was an unused substitute at Gresty Road.
The Shrimpers go into the game against the Seagulls bidding to extend their 10-game unbeaten run.
