Leeds were pegged back to 2-2 at Leyton Orient in League One despite going two goals up against 10 men.
Leeds had the better of the first half at Brisbane Road, with midfielder Neil Kilkenny forcing home keeper Jamie Jones into a 13th minute feet-first save.
They went ahead when Fabian Delph dispossessed Orient defender Charlie Daniels and fed winger Robert Snodgrass, who shot just inside the far post on 19 minutes.
Orient midfield Jason Demetriou and striker Dean Morgan in turn went down in the box from token challenges and penalty appeals were waved away by referee Trevor Kettle.
Leeds went further ahead when Demetriou handled a shot from Luciano Becchio and was red-carded, allowing Snodgrass to convert a 58th minute penalty for his 10th goal of the season.
Orient promptly pulled goal back via a splendidly struck free-kick by midfielder Sean Thornton from a yard outside the penalty area on 66 minutes.
Jones kept Orient in contention with saves from midfielder Jonny Howson and Becchio and when Leeds keeper Casper Ankergren failed to hold Morgan's shot striker Simon Church scrambled in Orient's equaliser with six minutes left.
Leeds remain fifth and look set for the play-offs while Orient stay 15th and are now seven points above the drop zone.
At the bottom of the table, struggling Brighton earned three precious points at Hereford to stretch six clear of their hosts - who remain deep in relegation trouble.
Tommy Fraser (9) and Lloyd Owusu (75) did the trick for Brighton, and Kris Taylor's 90th-minute effort for the hosts was too little, too late in a 2-1 defeat.
The Seagulls stay 22nd, but are now just five points behind 20th-placed Crewe and they also have a game in hand.
The Bulls are 23rd, 11 points from safety with just six games left.

Enjoy the result, (comments 8, 10 & 12, though you will be the only one out of us staying in league 1. By the way (comment 12) are you orient fans that thick that you think 2-2 is a win? As far as i'm aware, it's still classed as a draw!
INVALID COMMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to hear that we have a hero again !
Nice call Callum, Snodgrass has really progressed and been a star on the wing. Good job we have Robbo fit again. He may not have the speed, but lots of talent still, for this division. Still can't see us anywhere but playoffs and worrying case of Deja Vu with us hitting form prior to them! Got to be third time lucky though. WE NEED TO TURN UP AT WEMBLEY!
snoddy by far is my man of season hes shown the rest of the squad that if show passion for the club, then the fans will back him 110% even if he has a bad game compared to some.
i hope snoddy can get back for tuesday game
marching on forever
Robert Snodgrass is amazing, we could lose the game without him!
