Goalkeeper Matt Glennon has signed a new two-year contract extension to remain at Huddersfield with the option of adding a third year. The 29-year-old, brought to the Galpharm Stadium from St Johnstone on a free transfer in 2006, would have been out of contract in the summer.
New Town manager Stan Ternent released nine players this week, including Chris Brandon and Frank Sinclair, but made keeping Glennon a top priority.
Glennon made his Terriers debut on the opening day of the 2006/7 season in a 2-1 defeat at Gillingham and has gone on to make 101 appearances.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield have given 31-year-old striker Luke Beckett, who still has a year to run on his current contract, permission to speak to Bradford.
