Wed 07 May, 04:15 PM

Jabo Ibehre has admitted it is "weird" to be leaving Leyton Orient after his eight-year association with club came to an end.The striker netted 41 goals in over 200 appearances for the Os after signing as a trainee in 2000 but was released by manager Martin Ling on Tuesday.

And the 25-year-old has admitted he is leaving the club with a heavy heart.

"I've had a magnificent time at Leyton Orient and it's weird to think I'll be leaving after all this time," he told the club's official website.

"I've really enjoyed my time here, especially this year. I'm sad to be leaving and I'd like to say thanks to the fans, who have been brilliant to me through thick and thin.

"I'm very grateful for that and I'll hold them in my heart forever."
