Wrexham manager Brian Little insists sweeping changes are needed if the club is to make an immediate return to the Football League.The Dragons announced this week that a further eight players will leave the Racecourse Ground this summer after releasing six players and making five available for transfer earlier this month.

A new-look team looks set to take its place in the Blue Square Premier next season and Little is adamant a squad overhaul was necessary.

"I have said it before, they have been a good group of players, but our position this season means we have had to alter things to try and improve our chances for next season," said Little.

"I hope people understand that we need to play the field as much as we can to find out what is out there."
