Southampton boss Nigel Pearson has revealed he is already planning for next season despite the speculation surrounding his future at the club.Pearson guided Saints to Championship survival on the final day of the season with a 3-2 win over Sheffield United but former chairman Rupert Lowe, who is poised to take over the club at an EGM on May 16, is believed to be lining up Glenn Hoddle as Pearson's replacement.
However, the former Newcastle assistant boss has shrugged off the talk surrounding his uncertain future and is more concerned with planning for next season.
"There is a big job to be done here. I would like to do it but there are a lot of variables and speculation so we will have to see what happens," Pearson told the club's official website.
"I would love to carry on but we will have to see how things pan out. There are a number of possibilities that could happen but there is no point getting ahead of ourselves.
"My one thought for the future is to plan for the future here and continue to make sure things get done in the right way."
