PSV Eindhoven are waiting for news on Jefferson Farfan and Edison Mendez after the duo failed to report for a three-day training camp.According to Eindhovens Dagblad newspaper, Peruvian Farfan is believed to have returned to his homeland for personal reasons, while Mendez is thought to be in Ecuador with his sick mother.

Mendez's return home was sanctioned by his club but he was expected back in time for the training camp in Greece, while Farfan was due to take a holiday next week but appears to have brought that forward without PSV's permission.

PSV are reportedly considering what disciplinary measures to take against the absent duo, but want to speak to the players first.

"Only when we know why [they are absent] can we judge and decide what to do," PSV director Jan Reker told Eindhovens Dagblad.
