The Dragons qualified for the Heineken Cup next season after securing their first Celtic League victory since early January with an 18-10 win over the Ospreys.
Kevin Morgan scored first for the Newport side, the full-back picking up a loose pass from team-mate Ceri Sweeney and sprinting home for a try after five minutes.
Gareth Owen was instrumental as Ospreys set up Connor to cross at the other end and, unlike Sweeney before him, he converted for the lead.
Sweeney, who will be replaced as Dragons fly-half by Connor next season, sent over two penalties and Connor one as the half-time score read 11-10.
In the second half, experienced flanker and Dragons captain Colin Charvis ran in a try to secure the win, with Sweeney adding further breathing space with the conversion.
Swansea club Ospreys, vastly under-strength with the equivalent of a full team missing through injury and international call-ups, failed to score in the second half.
