Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has apologised to the club and their fans after being photographed outside a nightclub following the Champions League semi-final defeat by Manchester United.
The Denmark international striker, 21, was pictured leaving a London nightclub at 4am in the morning with his belt undone and jeans pulled down before being helped into a waiting car.
"I love this club and was so disappointed to lose against Manchester United last (Tuesday) night," the Dane, who came on as a second-half substitute, said Arsenal's website.
"Reaching a Champions League final is one of my biggest dreams and getting knocked out was a massive blow," he said after Tuesday's 3-1 loss and 4-1 aggregate defeat.
"However, no matter how disappointed I was, it does not excuse my behaviour later in the evening. I may be young but my actions were a poor error of judgement and something I deeply regret. I want to apologise to the club and the fans for letting them and myself down."
Bendtner has struggled to win over the club's fans this season despite scoring 14 goals in all competitions.

Darren M #18 - what ARE you talking about? Are you even on the right site? Post #3 simply says 'LOSER'. I really don't think that implies he should commit suicide. You must be commenting on 'Doctor Death' and I'm pretty sure he has nothing to do with Tuesday's match not Bendtner going to a nightclub.
fair play to the lad, apologised, didn't try to make up some transparent excuse, and for that this'll be quickly forgotten...when's drogba's/chelsea's apology for that disgraceful outburst? So far the only apology we've had for that came from Richard Keys on SkySports. Sanctions are far more lenient if a thorough apology is made, look at McLaren in F1...
I love that Arsenal players aren't generally snapped falling out of clubs at 4am, not like the classless Chelsea mob .... well done for apologising, good old Arsenal
you guys are all idiots arsnal rule!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In other words, he got caught. Hence the apology. Just get rid of him Arsene.
He probably went to club to help himself to forget the defeat. They should let the guy alone. Whats the essence of this apology? A Lawyer must have been paid for that draft. Unnecessary!
i was really shocked when i heard about that and started shaking my head..lets be fair.. if i was him i would neva do that..its a joke!! thats really unacceptable.. who would u go for a night out drinking and dancing and your team has just got beat in champoions league semi final at home and against who? Man u!! he should of thought at least of him team mates his great managers feelings.. i wouldnt let it go like that even hes apologised ...get rid of him and sell him now.. coz he didnt recpect his team aslo hes not good enought for Arsenal in all ways.. Arsenal is a great football club and it has always had the big names in football..
he is just doing wat at least 90% of guys will or have done...give the guy a break..even tho he is wack lol
So what? He's human & it ain't his fault dat Le prof doesn't have d balls to buy players matured & experienced enough to win trophies.Pls write abt something more newsworthy
Jesus WHO CARES!!! They were hammered, he deserves a few beers @#$%...!!!
What a waste of an article. Who gives a damn about what those soccer players get up to anyway......in their freetime...
who gives a muck? footballers aren't allowed to have totty?
Lol..... could care less what he does when he's not playing.... as long as players are performing who gives a **** right?~
Football4life although i agree with ur coment on some fans takin it to serious it is completly out of order to say that about the poor man that hung hisself, to some people football is their lives n so are the dissapointments all us football fans the deceased fan doesnt deserve such disrespect. i just hope his family dont see ur comment. Hard luck arsenal u were outplayed, outclassed, n wether bendter had a few berrs to drown his sorrows after the match or not u no deep down u never stood a chance. CUMON MAN UTD AND LIFT THAT TROPHY AGAIN U DESERVE IT........ CUMON U REDS!!!!!!!!!
#6 we the fans need to understand that we sometimes take football too seriously they lost so what. So have many great clubs only one team wins at the end. The real losers are the idiotic fans who care too much, for example, did u hear about the fool that hung himself in kenya after the match.
lol, he was at a gay club photographed kissing the referee
No problem with a club after a game, but perhaps after losing he might have been as p*ssed off as the stupid buggers that pay his wages.
MUST HAVE BEEN A G.A.Y CLUB
Go enjoy yourself boy. you are a professional and not a prisoner.
THE LOSER
