Preston boss Alan Irvine has won the Coca-Cola Championship Manager of the Month Award for April.
Irvine guided North End to three wins, a draw and a defeat in five games in April to help secure a coveted play-off berth.
He beat off competition from Wolves' Mick McCarthy, Burnley's Owen Coyle and Birmingham boss Alex McLeish to land the award.
Irvine told Sky Sports News: "We finished the season very, very well after it looked as though we looked as though we were just about to miss out on the play-offs.
"Having been in contention for almost all of the season, it would have been a big disappointment to miss out.
"But fortunately results went for us in the end and we did our own job, which was the most important thing."
