Tottenham face a fight to keep Dimitar Berbatov at White Hart Lane as news of AC Milan's interest in the Bulgarian filters through from Italy. The future of the talented-but-temperamental striker has for a long time been the subject of conjecture, with Berbatov linked with a move away from North London for much of last season.
Berbatov has proven himself to be one of the Premier League's top talents since joining Spurs from Bayer Leverkusen in 2006 and his performances have clearly not gone unnoticed elsewhere.
Manchester United are known to be admirers but it is Milan that have openly expressed an interest.
Milan vice president Adriano Galliani admits his club are weighing up an offer for the player: "The names are those that have been reported by the press.
"That is [Samuel] Eto'o, Drogba, Adebayor, [Mario] Gomez and Berbatov. Any of them would be good."
