Wolves boss leaves door open

Sat 07 Jun, 04:00 PM

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has left the door open to his transfer-listed players by challenging them to fight for their futures at Molineux. All six of the players made available for transfer at the end of last season - Darren Ward, Rob Edwards, Darren Potter, Stephen Elliott, Jay Bothroyd and Freddy Eastwood - remain at the club.

McCarthy told the Express and Star: "It's their careers, and if they come back in good shape and they train well, then you never know. It might make us think and suddenly they can get back in the side and are playing again, that's how it happens."

We know that none of these players will feature for the club if a serious challenge is to be made for thr premier, so just let them go .
