World Touring Car Championship star Andy Priaulx beat Johnny Herbert to win the all-British Race of Champions Legends final, held at FC Porto's Estadio de Dragao home.
The triple world champion won two of the three heats against the Le Mans winner in Porto as part of the inaugural Euromilhoes ROC South Europe.
In the qualifying heats Priaulx also beat former rally star Carlos Sainz and Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro before taking care of five-times 500cc motorcycling world champion Mike Doohan in the semis.
"What a great fun event this was," Priaulx said. "It was an honour to race against such superstars and for me beating Johnny was special as he has always been one of my heroes.
"I have now competed in three Race of Champions in Paris and at Wembley so I know the format well, which I don't think all of the drivers did.
"However, you have to take advantage of every circumstance and I certainly did that."
The event was a taster for fans ahead of the Race of Champions in November, which will be held in Beijing at the Birds Nest Olympic Stadium for the first time.
