Hereford chairman Graham Turner is satisfied with the club`s transfer activity so far and believes they will assemble a squad capable of challenging in League Two.
Manager John Trewick has already signed defenders Keith Lowe, Ryan Valentine and Ryan Green this summer.
And Turner is confident the club can recruit more reinforcements as players come to terms with the new financial realities in the lower leagues.
"We are beginning to see players and agents taking on board the fact that we are in an economic recession at the moment and there are some more realistic thoughts on contracts," he told the club`s website.
"They are realising that the gravy train of big contract are coming to an end, especially in the lower leagues.
"I think we have every opportunity of putting together a squad that is capable of mounting a challenge."
