Manchester City have parted company with first-team coach Derek Fazackerley as Mark Hughes continues to build his own team behind the scenes.Fazackerley joined City in 2001 and worked under managers Kevin Keegan, Stuart Pearce and Sven-Goran Eriksson.

He leaves following the arrival at the City of Manchester Stadium of Hughes.

Fazackerley was linked with Newcastle when Keegan began his second spell at St James' Park earlier in the year, with the pair having worked together previously with the Magpies and City.
