Burnley have appointed development director and former player Paul Fletcher as their new chief executive.Fletcher, who was a popular figure as a Clarets player at Turf Moor throughout the 1970s, originally rejoined the club in December 2007.
He came on board following the announcement of a £30million redevelopment of Turf Moor and the club's Gawthorpe training ground.
The joint role as chief executive will see him focus on commercial activities, and Fletcher said: "Over the last 20 years I have been involved with numerous football clubs around the country and I am delighted to use this experience for the benefit of Burnley Football Club.
"In readiness for the new stand development coming on stream in two-years time the club needs to upgrade its services in a number of areas and I am pleased to take on this responsibility, whilst still working in my other important role on the redevelopment of Turf Moor."
