Milan Bide Time On Strike Pair

Mon 07 Jul, 03:09 PM

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba and Arsenal forward Emmanuel Adebayor remain targets for AC Milan, according to the club's technical director Leonardo.

Both players have been linked with the San Siro but the Italian giants have yet to make a move - although that does not mean they have not ruled out future bids.

"It's no secret we're interested in signing a forward and are studying candidates," said Leonardo.

"Drogba is a fine player and Adebayor is a player I really like. We are waiting for the right time to move."

Meanwhile, Leonardo has reiterated there is "no possibility" of Chelsea signing Kaka after the Stamford Bridge club were reported to be interested in the Brazilian.

"I can only repeat what we keep saying - there is no possibility of Kaka moving away from Milan," Leonardo told BBC Sport.

"We have not received an official bid for him. He is very close to AC Milan and has a very, very good relationship with the club."

  1. what r u talking about milan needs to get new players and get rid of all the ones they have now. may i remind u that over the last year they won everything a club can win, and the same team has been doing it for the past 5 years. they have been on the top consistently and now we should sell most of them bc of one season. they had problems with injuries as well. look at the midfield they got now seedorf, kaka, pirlo, flamini, what more can u ask for. it's the most balanced midfield in the world, and on the bench u have gattuso, emerson who is not injured anymnore, ambrosini. what else do u want. pato up from the start this season with inzaghi, who scores almost every game. he is not the most attractive, but puts the ball in almost every time he has a chance. i don't know what kind of milan fan you are jonaspachulia to consider giving away kaka pirlo or gattuso and possibly replacing them with kean from the spurs. wow look at the achievements they have had since galliani and berlusconi have take over before u start to question their transfer policy.

  3. I am a Milan fan and I'm really dissapointed with them. We played horrible last season, not even making it to the champions league! and they are not worried about changing a few things around and bringing in some new talent?
Give up on Adebayor who i must agree is good but not as good as people say. Ade is only worth around 15 million pounds. I would rather have Keane or Berbatov or even Martins. But if Milan should buy 1 or 2 or even 3 strikers it should really be Ronnie, Eto and Drogba and maybe Sheva.
U could say that they dont have the cash, but they could make it buy selling one of their top players.
As much as i love Kaka, or Pirlo or Gattuso sell one of them.
If i was milan i would see what Real Madrid or Chelsea would offer for Kaka.
One possibility with Chelsea is do a swap deal so they could demand Drogba, Sheva and Balack for Kaka. Thats a possibility but not so likely but still could happen.
Or sell him to Real and demand Ramos and 35 million pounds to buy either Drogba, Eto or Ronnie!
U also have Pirlo who is very important for Milan who is worth around 40 million pounds. They should try to do a swap deal and try to get Eto/ Ronnie/ Drogba. I just dont understand how Milan can not afford these top class players. We have won so much over the last 25 years, probably more then anyone, and now we are struggling to find the cash so we can buy atleast 1 super star?

I just hope Milan win the uefa cup next season and hopefully they do well in serie a and that they buy some decent strikers or players that have have named from above.!
    Rossoneri for life!

  8. that is all made up what you read in the press. how could we not be able to afford ade or drogba? milan is the best club around, with the most titles won over the last 20 yrs. and within a year we will be back in the CL and we will win it again, just to show everyone who the best is.
