Out-of-contract centre-back Chris Robertson is back in pre-season training with newly-promoted Torquay.

Robertson, 22, was a member of Paul Buckle's promotion-winning team for the 2-0 Blue Square Premier play-off final victory over Cambridge at Wembley in May.

He has been with the Gulls since Buckle's arrival as Torquay manager in the summer of 2007.

Meanwhile, former Southampton and Exeter defender Jamie Hatch, 19, is on trial with Buckle's squad.
