MK Dons manager Roberto Di Matteo has completed the signing of Canadian international Ali Gerba, subject to a work permit being completed.Gerba, 26, has signed a one-year contract with a one-year option at stadium:mk after a successful trial period with the club.

The former Toronto Lynx, Montreal Impact and IFK Gothenburg striker becomes the Dons fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals of midfielders Peter Leven and Florian Sturm and defender Shaun Cummings.

The Dons begin life in League One with a tough trip to face newly-relegated Leicester on Saturday.
