Northampton manager Stuart Gray has targeted a flying start to the League One season by beating Cheltenham at Sixfields on Saturday. The Cobblers finished a creditable ninth last season but Gray believes that his side face a tougher task this time around.
He said: "It's important that you win your home games. Cheltenham will come here with two banks of four and be hard to break down but we need to get three points on the board.
"This year the league will be even tougher with Leeds staying down and Leicester, Peterborough and MK Dons all coming in so we need a good start.
"The challenge for all the players is to see if they can improve on last year so we have to beat ninth place.
"That is the first target and then hopefully we will be there or thereabouts in the play-off picture."
