Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has confirmed duo James Wilson and Frankie Artus have joined League Two club Brentford on a month's loan. The two players, who are products of the Robins youth academy, move to Griffin Park with a view to gaining some valuable first-team football.

"It is a brilliant move for them because they need to be competing for league games," City boss Gary Johnson told the club's official website.

"I want to see them playing league football. Once they have played 10 games at that level, they will have gained their 'men's game' experience."

Wilson has yet to play professional first-team football. Artus had a loan spell at Exeter last season when the Devon club were in the Blue Square Premier.
