John Terry has admitted he would not be surprised if Chelsea were drawn to face Inter Milan at some stage in the Champions League this season.Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has taken charge of the Italian champions this summer and Terry is convinced that fate will play its part over the coming months to ensure that he has to return to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho guided Chelsea to back-to-back Premier League titles and enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Terry, but the Blues skipper insists he would now relish the chance to test himself against Inter.

"All the lads are already saying we'll get Inter in the Champions League and you just know we probably will meet them," Terry said in The Sun.

"Jose was a top manager and someone I loved working with, but it was a change the club made so we've moved on and moved forward."

Luiz Felipe Scolari was appointed as the new Chelsea manager in June and Terry has been impressed by the Brazilian.

He feels the team are well prepared for the coming campaign and maintains there is also a wonderful spirit in the camp.

"Pre-season has been very different this year," explained the defender.

"Under Jose we never did any running but with Scolari we've had our trainers on and done 1,000 metres, which is similar to the (Gianluca) Vialli and (Claudio) Ranieri style of thinking.

"Now we all feel really good and well prepared for our opener against Portsmouth.

"Scolari understands football and the lads. I was really pleased when Peter Kenyon phoned to tell me they were going to announce his appointment.

"I've since noticed a real togetherness off the field which I've never seen among a group of players before."
