Lisbie set for second debut

Fri, 07 Aug 13:41:03 2009

Kevin Lisbie will make his second debut for Colchester at Norwich on the opening day of the League One season.

The striker rejoined the Us on Monday on a season-long loan from Ipswich and is expected to go straight into the side to face the Canaries.

Ashley Vincent, David Fox, Magnus Okuonghae, Lee Beevers, Ben Williams, Gary Holt and Joel Thomas are also in contention to make their debuts after arriving at the club over the summer.

But defender Paul Reid will play no part as he continues his recovery from knee surgery. Reid has started jogging again, but is not expected to feature for the first team in the near future.

Striker Steven Gillespie is not likely to be risked by boss Geraint Williams as he is struggling with a hamstring problem.
