Eurosport - Sun, 07 Sep 11:07:00 2008

West Ham, Portsmouth and Arsenal are all reported to be considering a free transfer swoop for in-demand Ghanaian midfielder Stephen Appiah.

The midfielder is a free agent following his departure from Fenerbahce last month so can still sign for a club outside the transfer window.

He has had injury problems in the past but proved his fitness as he played for Ghana against Libya on Friday night.

Ghana lost the match 1-0 but Appiah produced an excellent performance to impress the onlookers.

Representatives from the Hammers, Pompey and the Gunners were all watching on, while another top European side are also thought to be interested.

Appiah, 27, who previously played for Juventus, recently admitted that it would be 'his dream' to play in the Premier League.

  1. I think it will be fine for him as a player to get a team that he can get the the first team place to play so that he can come back to his form.
since it will be good for him to place portmouth or hotspers

  6. I think he will be a fantastic signing for Arsenal if only A Wenger will not be slow on this, if he stays fit he will be a good addition and offers another option to our(ARSENAL) midfield.

He is a good passer of the ball, can shoot and strong as well, bear in mind he captains his national team over Essien. I have no doubt he will settle in the style we play and given the opportunities in the EPL he will excel....

come on Wenger, we all know this one is cheap and he will definitely choose Arsenal over others...
