Bradford coach David Wetherall has insisted he has no regrets about hanging up his football boots and ending his playing days last season.
The 37-year-old, who made over 500 appearances during his playing career at Leeds and then Bradford, quit as City's skipper in the summer to concentrate as full-time coach at Valley Parade.
Wetherall told the club's official website: "I did wonder how I'd feel once the season got under way. That would be the time when I might really miss the playing and I admit there was a little sense of dread.
"But I haven't felt like that. I had my time as a player, which was great, and now I've moved on."
He added: "If we'd been really struggling at the wrong end of the table, I might have wondered if I could help by getting the boots back on, but that's not been the case - though the last couple of results have been disappointing."
