Sheffield United's Wales internationals Ched Evans and David Cotterill are both hoping to feature in their country's World Cup double header against Finland and Liechtenstein.

John Toshack's side, who cannot qualify for next summers finals in South Africa, are preparing for their final Group Four clashes and the Blades duo, both unused substitutes in last month's home defeat to Russia, have been included in the squad and are expected to play some part.

Blades winger Keith Treacy has been withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad ahead of their two European Championship qualifiers against Georgia and Switzerland and striker Jamie Ward will miss Northern Ireland's must-win Group Three clash in the Czech Republic due to a broken wrist.
