Great Britain dominated the first day of the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Manchester - claiming double gold and silver haul.
Cycling newcomer Neil Fachie - who competed in athletics at last year's Paralympics - admitted he surprised himself as he joined pilot rider Barney Storey to win the one kilometre time trial tandem in a world record time.
Three-times Paralympic judo champion Simon Jackson, partnered by pilot David Readle, settled for second.
"It's a pretty amazing feeling, especially considering I'm new to the sport," said Fachie.
"I thought I might stand a chance because training has been going well but I never expected a world record - that is just phenomenal."
Elsewhere, Darren Kenny (pictured) continued his dominance with a one kilometre time trial victory over British team-mate Rik Whaddon.
It is an 11th world title for Kenny, who also struck gold at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships two months ago.
Elsewhere, Czech rider Jiri Jezek set a world record in qualifying for the four kilometre pursuit and then beat Romania's Carol Novek by three seconds to win gold.
