Australian Casey Stoner remains the man to beat in the season-ending valenica MotoGP after finishing top of the times in free practice two on Saturday morning.
Stoner (pictured), fastest in Friday's practice, set the standard in one minute, 32.819 seconds on his Ducati, ahead of Spanish duo Daniel Pedrosa and Lorge Lorenzo on their Honda and Yamaha respectively.
2009 World Superbike champion Ben Spies is making his Yamaha MotoGP debut as a wild-card this weekend, while Aleix Espargaro is again replacing the injured Niccolo Canepa at Pramac Ducati.
Spies moved from 15th on Friday to 12th and ahead of fellow Yamaha rider James Toseland, whom he will replace at Tech 3 in 2010. Spies had been 2.239s behind Stoner on Friday, but was only 1.377s behind in second practice.
Spies was also the fastest Yamaha rider in a straight line this morning, clocking 312.0km/h to once again hold seventh overall on the top speed charts.
The other Yamaha riders were eighth (Lorenzo, 311.6km/h), 12th(Rossi, 310.4km/h, 16th (Edwards, 309.1km/h) and 18th (Toseland, 306.7km/h).

Moaner Stoner......... Oh! i got pole and will probably win the race but i don't have grip and my bike is rubbish, also i feel weak, Moaning @#$% will he ever be Happy, makes Danny look like Mr Happy now..........
