Reading were again left to curse their luck as their long wait for a home Coca-Cola Championship win continued with a 1-1 draw against Ipswich.

Reading enjoyed the majority of possession but fell behind to a scrappy goal from Jon Stead before Simon Church deservedly levelled after the break.

Brendan Rodgers' side have now gone 17 games without a win at the Madejski Stadium - a sequence which goes back to late January - but it was only a combination of poor finishing and bad luck which denied them victory.

Both sides remain in the relegation zone and will need to turn things around quickly if they are to pull away from danger.
