Bury manager Alan Knill was "delighted" with a 1-1 draw against 10-man Macclesfield after Stephen Dawson scored a quick-fire equaliser.Macclesfield took the lead in the sixth minute when Simon Yeo's header hit the crossbar and strike partner Gritton pounced on the rebound with a close-range header for his third goal in five games.
But their joy was shortlived as Andy Bishop released Dawson and he completed a surging run with an arrow-like drive inside the near post.
Knill said: "I'm delighted with the point. We did not perform at all and Macclesfield were excellent.
"They will feel they deserved all three points but if you don't win the best thing to do is not to lose.
"We've come a long way this season and that's another stage further to where we want to be."
