Taylor: Let's start another run

Sun 07 Dec, 03:15 PM

Wycombe manager Peter Taylor has asked his side to regroup and repeat their 18-game unbeaten run after slipping to a 3-2 defeat at Aldershot.Kirk Hudson grabbed a first-half double and Daniel Hylton netted two minutes from time as the Shots staved off a late Wycombe fight-back thanks to goals from Angelo Balanta and Matt Phillips.

"We just weren't at the races in the first half and ultimately that is what has cost us," said Taylor.

"We couldn't have dreamt that we'd have gone this long unbeaten and what we've shown in the 18 games is that we're capable of putting some more runs together so we must start again.

"As much as I was disappointed in our first-half display, I have to give credit to Aldershot, they were very positive in both their attacking and their defending. They put us under a lot of pressure."
