Bulgaria international Valentin Iliev has travelled to England to tie up a deal with Championship side Norwich.Blackburn and Watford have both previously been keen on the CSKA Sofia defender, who is set to cost £700,000.

The 28-year-old has five caps to his name and is rated highly in his homeland.

He said: "I think the physical style of football played in England would suit me well. The deal can still fall through, but I am ready for any outcome."

Norwich hope to confirm Iliev's capture within the next few days and he could be available for this weekend's trip to Barnsley.
