Tue 08 Jan, 06:15 PM

Viktoria Plzen goalkeeper Michal Danak is set to fly to England on Tuesday night with a view to a move to Championship leaders West Brom. The 24-year-old stopper watched Albion in action in December and had a tour of The Hawthorns and the club's training facilities.

"We have a preliminary agreement, but my agent Ondrej Chovanec is still to call me," Danek said.

Plzen general manager Zdenek Korinek said on Friday the club had not received a firm offer from the Baggies for the keeper.

But on Monday he added: "The coach has agreed to allow him to go for a four-day trial. He will have a full training load at West Brom. But this does not mean that he will leave. The negotiations will continue,"

Danek is fighting for his place in the Czech squad for Euro 2008 and is eager to test himself outside his native country. He told idnes.cz: "For me it is a great chance to get a contract abroad which may not happen again."
