Scott McGleish was the Wycombe hero as he crashed home a hat-trick on a blustery night at League Two strugglers Mansfield in their 4-0 win.McGleish opened the scoring when his fourth minute looping header caught on the strong wind and fooled Stags keeper Carl Muggleton and his defenders as it held up and dropped just under the bar.
It was one of few chances in a dire first half spoiled by the weather, but the visitors doubled their lead in the 58th minute when Muggleton parried Sergio Torres' shot and McGleish's follow up was sliced into the net by Gareth Jelleyman.
McGleish made sure of the points and FA Cup heroes Mansfield's biggest defeat of the season as he struck twice in three minutes, twice firing excellent finishes past Muggleton from chances created for him by Torres on the left, the first finish across Muggleton, the second in side the left hand post.
It was a fifth win in six unbeaten games for play-off chasing Wycombe and depleted Stags' fifth loss in six League games just four days after they had won at Brighton in the FA Cup.
