West Brom manager Tony Mowbray insists the Baggies' promotion bid is far more important than any potential run in the FA Cup.The Championship leaders face an unwanted FA Cup third-round replay at home to league rivals Charlton next week following Saturday's 1-1 draw at The Valley.
A trip to League Two side Peterborough in round four awaits the winners, which represents a good chance to progress to the latter stages of the competition.
But Mowbray insists promotion to the Premier League remains his priority, insisting: "In my mind the FA Cup falls below promotion. That is not a slur on the cup, that is a sensible answer.
"This club getting to the Premier League is more important than us trying to overcome Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool to win the FA Cup.
"We have got the next 20 league games to concentrate on and try and get as many points as we can to try and get out of the Championship. That is no disrespect to the FA Cup."
