Swindon caretaker manager David Byrne has received assurances that a player will shortly be arriving at the County Ground on loan.Byrne has held talks with incoming boss Maurice Malpas, who will be installed at the helm when the takeover of the club is completed, over potential transfer targets.
"We have had an assurance that one player will be joining us on loan, hopefully at the end of this week or the start of the next," Byrne told Swindon's official website.
With a bid already lodged for Reading striker Simon Cox, Byrne is expecting a busy month of activity at the club.
"We have spoken to a few clubs and I have targeted a few players. If we can I would like to make some in roads.
"I think we need around four or five players and if we can add those to the squad then we won't be too far away at the end of the campaign."
