Rochdale manager Keith Hill has completed the signing of striker Rene Howe from League Two rivals Peterborough on a season-long loan.Howe has not been a regular feature for promotion-chasing Posh this season and his opportunities have been limited.

With just one goal to his name this term, Howe cannot wait to get started with Dale, who lie just outside the play-off zone.

"Peterborough have got some real quality strikers who have been scoring goals, so I have been left to wait for an opportunity that didn't really come," said Howe.

"I am very happy to be here until the end of the season. Hopefully I can do well and score the goals that helps the team get promoted."
