Bradford City joint-chairman Mark Lawn has revealed that the club are set to offer manager Stuart McCall a new and improved contract.

Ex-Everton and Rangers midfielder McCall was appointed manager at Valley Parade in May 2007 and following last season's mid-table finish he has steered the Bantams to third in League Two in his second full season in charge.

Lawn told BBC Radio Leeds: "Bradford City have had enough turmoil and non-stability at this club.

"I think that Stuart has been a stabling influence and he deserves a new contract so we'll be sitting down next week and offering him a contract.

"I can't tell you that but we'll be looking to make sure that he's happy and we're happy and if both parties are happy then we should be able to put it to bed and move on.

"We talked to Stuart in December time and said that we were going to have a talk in the January period so hopefully he'll accept it and we'll move on with the management team that we've got."
