Italy draft Galante into squad for Wales clash

Fri 15 Feb, 12:59 PM

ROME (Reuters) - Italy have brought Parma centre Alessio Galante into their squad for this month's Six Nations clash with Wales after Ludovico Nitoglia pulled out.

Nitoglia was only called into the squad on Thursday after Kaine Robertson was ruled out with a thigh injury but the winger is now unavailable for personal reasons, the Italian federation Web site (www.federrugby.it) said on Friday.

Galante has two caps.

Italy, who lost narrowly to Ireland and England in their first two matches of the competition, play the unbeaten Welsh in Cardiff on Feb 23.

Fullback David Bortolussi could miss the rest of the Six Nations with a shoulder injury and was replaced in the squad by Paolo Buso on Thursday.
