GLASGOW (Reuters) - Scottish leaders Rangers moved four points clear of arch rivals Celtic after a goal in each half from Carlos Cuellar and Kris Boyd secured a 2-0 win at Kilmarnock on Sunday.

Rangers took the lead when midfielder Barry Ferguson headed the ball across goal in 25 minutes for Spanish defender Cuellar to loop a header over keeper Alan Combe from six metres into the right of the net.

Former Kilmarnock striker Boyd hammered home a penalty after 63 minutes to make it 2-0 after defender Jamie Hamill handled.

"It was an open game... and a little bit end to end, but with not that many opportunities.

"But the best of them, obviously, fell to ourselves. We were delighted to get the three points."

Rangers top the standings on 59 points with Celtic second on 55.

Hibernian later fought back from a goal down at halftime to beat Aberdeen 3-1 move and above them into fifth place on 35 points.

Zander Diamond whipped in the opener from close range in the 18th minute after Hibs failed to clear a corner.

But Hibs' Moroccan midfielder Merouane Zemmama began the fightback, crashing home a 20-metre free kick to level on 48 minutes.

Dean Shiels put Hibs ahead seven minutes later, following up after his first shot was parried by Aberdeen keeper Jamie Langfield, and Steven Fletcher headed a third in stoppage time.
