LONDON (Reuters) - FA Cup holders Chelsea and last year's beaten finalists Manchester United were kept apart when the draw for the quarter-finals paired Chelsea with Barnsley and United with Portsmouth on Monday.

Chelsea will visit the Championship (second division) side while United, who beat Arsenal 4-0 in the fifth round on Saturday, will face their Premier League rivals from the south coast at Old Trafford.

Championship club Cardiff City, in the last eight for the first time since 1927, will travel to either Premier League Middlesbrough or Championship side Sheffield United who drew 0-0 on Sunday and will replay next week.

Bristol Rovers of League One (third division), in the quarter-finals for the first time since 1958, will host West Bromwich Albion of the Championship at the Memorial Ground.

The ties will be played on the weekend of March 8/9.
