Rochdale manager Keith Hill could decide to hand midfielder Chris Basham his debut against Lincoln following his loan move from Bolton. The 19-year-old has joined on a three-month deal and goes straight into the Dale squad for the trip.

Boss Keith Hill can also call upon on-loan Peterborough striker Rene Howe after he missed out as the Posh ran out 2-0 winners at Spotland last weekend due to the terms of his short-term switch from the League Two high-fliers.

The Dale are waiting of the fitness of Rory McArdle as the defender returns from international duty with the Northern Ireland Under-21 side following a 2-2 draw in Israel.

Hill is otherwise without any fresh injury or suspension concerns as they look to return to winning ways after the Posh ended their run of four successive victories.

Striker Chris Dagnall and right-back Gary Brown remain long-term absentees due to cruciate knee ligament injuries, while captain Gary Jones is set to make his 300th league appearance for the club.
