New loan signing Bryan Hodge is in contention to make his Darlington debut in the home clash with Barnet at the TFM Arena on Saturday. The central midfielder has joined from Blackburn on a one-month deal and could feature straight away for Quakers boss Dave Penney, who still has a host of injury problems to contend with.

Guylain Ndumbu-Nsungu (ankle), Tim Ryan (knee), Clark Keltie (knee), Richie Foran (hamstring), Martin Smith (knee) and Andy Oakes (shoulder) are all stranded on the sidelines while Pawel Abbott (knee) is struggling to regain his match fitness.

Defender John Brackstone made his return from a broken nose for the reserves in midweek and could make Penney's matchday squad while midfielder Rob Purdie is expected to feature.

Defender Ian Miller and striker Gregg Blundell both featured heavily in the 2-0 defeat at struggling Wrexham last weekend and could again be involved as the Quakers bid to extend a three-game unbeaten streak on home soil.

Defender Stephen Foster is also expected to overcome a bout of illness to continue in the side.
