Jones pondering Bluebirds options

Fri 08 Feb, 11:30 AM

Cardiff manager Dave Jones is pondering whether to make changes to his side for the visit of Norwich to Ninian Park on Saturday. The Bluebirds' seven-game unbeaten run was ended by Stoke last weekend so Jones may opt to freshen up his side to face the Canaries in Saturday's 12pm kick-off.

Trevor Sinclair is one player who will hope for a recall after he continued his bid to gain full fitness by turning out for the reserves in midweek.

Darren Purse, Aaron Ramsey and Darcy Blake were all unused substitutes against the Potters and could come into consideration for a starting berth, while Stephen McPhail came through the game unscathed after a hip problem.

The game is likely to come too soon for Riccardo Scimeca (groin), who is expected to be sidelined for at least another week.

Former Rangers striker Steven Thompson will hope for a recall at the expense of Paul Parry or Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, while Robbie Fowler (hip) remains a long-term absentee.
