Tykes boosted for Baggies clash

Fri 08 Feb, 12:01 PM

Barnsley's Brazilian duo Anderson De Silva and Dennis Souza are expected to shake off knocks in time for the visit of West Brom on Saturday. The pair had been doubtful earlier in the week after both sustained dead legs in last Saturday's 4-0 drubbing at Coventry, but former Everton midfielder De Silva and centre-half Souza will be fit to face the Championship leaders at Oakwell.

Tykes manager Simon Davey has no new injury or suspension worries to contend with and despite last week's disappointment is not expected to make too many changes.

Goalkeeper Heinz Muller has been ruled out for the rest of the season with knee ligament damage, so Tony Warner, on loan from Fulham, will retain his place in Davey's side.

Skipper Brian Howard is one booking away from a two-game ban after receiving nine yellow cards this season.
